Any time you get a place to work, you face one question that is more important than all the others... Where will I get lunch? Now that I'm in Emeryville most days, I've been exposed to the wonder that is Bakesale Betty's. For any of you in the East Bay, this is hardly news. For the rest of us, don't go unless you have time for a line that stretches three storefronts down the street. But find a way.

One of these days I'll venture to their baked goods. But people, set your eyes on the best chicken sandwich this side of the Pecos. Fried chicken with a vinaigrette coleslaw with just a hint of jalapeno. This is living the life.
